本書の特色

各部位ごと，あるいは科目ごとに，放射線診断画像を必要にして十分なボリュームで一冊ずつにまとめた大系ものが誕生した．2009年に刊行された２点を含め，以降2011年にかけて合計8点が企画されている．以前Saundersから供給されていたAmirsys 社のDiagnostic Imaging Seriesを意識して企画されたもので，より使いやすく的確で質の高い画像の提供を目指している．なお，本シリーズのタイトル中の「High-Yield（ハイイールド）」は高利率の，あるいは配当の多いという金融関連でよく使われる言葉で，ここでは無駄を排した密度の濃い内容を指して使われている．

注目の新シリーズで最初に登場した「胸部」．なるべく簡潔な説明文で問題のポイントを押さえている．本分野の大御所が編集にあたり，約400の疾患を網羅，収載画像は最新のものを精選．すべてのモダリティーの効用を表記している．参考になる“Diagnostic Pearls”．各トピックに2〜4枚の十分に大きな画像を配置し，読影を容易にする．所与の疾患解明にいかなる画像が必要とされるかを特記したコラム“What the Referring Physician Need to Know”．Expert Consultが付随し，Web上で全文アクセスや画像のダウンロードが可能である．
